How does the wind sensor work?
Our wind sensors continuously monitor wind speed. If it exceeds the safe operating threshold, the awning retracts automatically — protecting the fabric and arms from damage. You can adjust the sensitivity level to suit your location.
Can I use my awning in winter?
Our UV-rated acrylic fabrics are weather-resistant, but we recommend retracting retractable awnings in severe cold, frost or snow. Fixed canopy awnings are suitable for all-year use. Optional infrared heaters extend the season well into autumn and spring.
What's the maximum projection and width?
Retractable awnings can reach widths of up to 6m and a projection (depth) of up to 3.5m. For wider spans, we can join two or more awnings. Your surveyor will advise the best configuration for your space.
How do I clean the awning fabric?
Extend the awning and brush off loose debris. Then use warm water with a mild soap solution and a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry fully before retracting. Avoid pressure washers as they can damage the acrylic coating.
